Marianne Vos (Team Jumbo-Visma) sprinted to her second consecutive victory at La Vuelta Femenina on Thursday ahead of Emma Norsgaard (Movistar Team) and Marlen Reusser (Team SD Worx).
At the finish, Vos thanked her teammates for keeping things together in the final kilometers. “I want to thank my team for doing so well and being there with me in the final. It was really nervous today. The girls did a really good job.”
The GC contenders Annemiek van Vleuten (Movistar Team) and Demi Vollering (Team SD Worx) tested each other with some late attacks but neither was able to make anything stick.
Friday’s stage 5 is a hilly 129.2km from La Cabrera to Mirador de Peñas Llanas.
