Eleonora Gasparrini (UAE Team ADQ) won stage 3 of the Tour de Suisse Women ahead of Arlenis Sierra (Movistar Team) and Tereza Neumanová (Liv Racing TeqFind).
It was Gasparrini’s first victory at the WorldTour level. “I was feeling good, and on the last climb, when I was in the first group, I realized that maybe I can have win because this type of arrival is good for me. This is my first important victory. My team did some amazing work today … so I have to say thank you to them.”
Demi Vollering (Team SD Worx) led out the sprint for her teammate Blanka Vas but didn’t carry enough speed to distance rivals and Vas ended up 4th.
