Juan Ayuso (UAE Team Emirates) won the stage 8 time trial at the Tour de Suisse on Sunday, beating rivals Remco Evenepoel (Soudal-QuickStep) and Mattias Skjelmose (Trek-Segafredo).
Mattias Skjelmose (Trek-Segafredo) won the overall GC ahead of Ayuso at 9″ and Evenepoel at 45″.
Felix Gall (AG2R Citroën) dropped from second to eighth in the GC after a poor performance in the time trial which saw him place 91st, 3:26″ off the winning pace of Ayuso.
