Felix Gall (AG2R Citroën Team) won stage 4 of the Tour de Suisse and took over the overall lead. Remco Evenepoel (Soudal-QuickStep) won the group sprint for second, one minute down, followed by Mattias Skjelmose (Trek-Segafredo).
Evenepoel is third in the general classification, 16 seconds behind Felix Gall, and hopes to make up time in the 25km time trial in the final stage on Sunday. So far, the hilly stages have been challenging for Evenepoel and he knows he cannot lose anymore time if he hopes to have a chance at the overall GC. Thursday’s stage 5 will be particularly challenging with two HC climbs and one category 1 climb.
