There were plenty of fans on hand to greet teams at the chilly opening weekend of the Spring Classics in Belgium this past weekend. The organizers, Flanders Classics, made sure Omloop Het Nieuwsblad got off to a great start by hosting team presentations on Saturday morning in the world famous Ghent velodrome, ’t Kuipke. Fans came early and filled the velodrome and the staging area – an enormous hanger – seeking selfies and autographs with any rider who was willing to oblige and hold still for a moment.
