Demi Vollering (Team SD Worx) won Liège-Bastogne-Liège Femmes on Sunday, as well as the Ardennes triple (Amstel Gold Race, Flèche Wallonne, Liège-Bastogne-Liège). Runner-up, Elisa Longo Borghini (Trek-Segafredo) could only praise Vollering in the end, “We ended up in a sprint, which I am a bit unsatisfied from, but in the end she [Vollering] was stronger.” Vollering’s teammate, Marlen Reusser won the sprint for third place from a group of five chasing riders.
